ADMISSION & TICKETS

To get access to Heidelberg Castle court yard, terrace facing the city and surroundings and Wine Barrel Cellar, guests require the Castle Ticket.

Includes also visit of German Museum of Pharmacy and round trip of funicular (Station: Kornmarkt - Castle- Molkenkur).

Audio Guide is available at the ash counter at visitor center. You may visit the court yard, wine barrel cellar, castle terrace and garden. All other areas, such as the different palaces, are to be viewed by guided to only.

Garden of Heidelberg Castle is free to visit at any time.

Payable: cash, giro card, Visa, MasterCard. Online payments are not available at this time.

Castle ticket is included in "HeidelbergCard".

Pre-order castle tickets - Travel agencies - available options:

1) If your group will use the cable car, tickets will be acquired at the ticket counter on spot. Pre-order tickets by contacting: gruppen(at)heidelberg-marketing.de for advance tickets purchase and payment. (German address only)

2) If you are coming to the castle by coach, unfortunately advance payment and pre-ordering is not possible. Upon arrival the cash counter at castle will be happy to print tickets. Reservation not available.

3) Should your guests be coming by coach to the castle plus book a guided tour with our guides, we could include tickets in our invoice (European branch accounts only). Please note: your tour leader can only show the outside public parts of the castle; only our guides can show the beautiful interior rooms, like chapel, ballroom etc.
